THE FURNITURE CREATION PROCESS BEGINS with only the highest-grade lumber, most of which is obtained while still green.
At that point, we process the wood with our custom-built automated lumber handling system and preserve its character by allowing it to air dry in our covered, open-sided lumber sheds.
Green lumber is then placed in one of our forced-air dry kilns. Before the wood is sent to the Millroom, it is surfaced to the proper thickness using our in-line Newman-Whitney planer.
Before any lumber is sent into the millroom, a certified inspector confirms its quality and grade.
Lumber that passes this inspection must then meet our strict moisture control levels before it is allowed to move further into the process of becoming a finished part.
